Native Salesforce integration | Low admin burden
Challenge
Background
Goodlord is a tenancy management software supporting thousands of letting agencies across the UK. It integrates with agencies' CRM to help agents manage the entire tenancy process in one place, from sending the offer letter through to rent collection.
Goodlord first chose GetAccept for its sharing and e-signing capabilities in 2017. In the past five years, GetAccept has been an active part of Goodlord’s digital transformation journey, continuing to support as the business scales.
Currently, Goodlord uses GetAccept and its Salesforce integration to cover the entire journey, from generating contracts and sharing them with buyers to tracking engagement and e-signing. It's not just sales that benefit from the integration. GetAccept is also used by other teams at Goodlord and Vouch, a Goodlord company.
Key challenges
Goodlord’s contract workflow previously relied on multiple tools, forcing reps to create documents in one system and manually upload them into another for signing. This slowed negotiations, created extra admin steps, and made it difficult to track recipient activity.
Their contract setup had also become increasingly complex. With around 30 templates, choosing the correct one and ensuring the right data was populated created a large margin for error. 10–20% of contracts each month required corrections, and recalls for new business prospects introduced friction that could impact deal momentum.
Goodlord needed a simpler, more reliable workflow that reduced admin, lowered error rates, and was easy for end users to adopt.
Why GetAccept
Goodlord evaluated solutions with several criteria in mind:
- A strong, reliable Salesforce integration
Described as “fundamental” to their process, the integration allows the team to generate, send, track, and store contracts directly within Salesforce. - Low admin intensity
Once set up, GetAccept requires minimal configuration work - a major shift from their previous tools. - High end-user friendliness
Reps with limited admin experience can send contracts directly from the opportunity without training sessions or complex steps. - A partner committed to product development
Goodlord looks for tools that actively evolve rather than feeling outdated. - A cost-benefit ratio that makes sense
The solution needed to deliver strong ROI relative to its cost.
Key successes
needed to onboard the new sales team
since the update
from a previous 30 templates
Streamlined contract setup: from ~30 templates to 3
This resulted in:
- fewer touchpoints in the process
consistent formatting and cleaner documents - a major drop in errors - from 10–20% to just 2–3 problematic contracts since the update
Reduced risk and fewer delays
With fewer templates and less manual selection, the room for error is dramatically smaller. Incorrect contracts no longer slow down internal teams or risk delaying new business deals.
A low-admin tool that “just works”
Goodlord repeatedly emphasized how little maintenance GetAccept requires.
They rarely need to touch the configuration, updates are minimal, and the integration handles the heavy lifting. What previously took 3-4 hours in a bad month now amounts to only 4-5 hours per year.
Simple onboarding and ease of use
Reps can send contracts immediately after receiving access. The process sits clearly on the opportunity in Salesforce, and documentation is rarely needed. When Goodlord acquired Vouch, the new sales team required just one training session.
Flexible template setup through Salesforce integration
Goodlord uses three pricing tables for each contract: chargeable line items, included products, and additional services. Thanks to the tailored way of showing content based on information in Salesforce, field and line items always appear in the correct order.
Improved accuracy and consistent document formatting
The new setup eliminates issues such as overflowing text, broken layouts, character limits, and spacing problems. Keeping logic in Salesforce ensures output is consistently clean and reliable.
