Enhanced Domains in Salesforce

How the enabling of Enhanced Domains affects the GetAccept integration in Salesforce

Last updated: March 2023

Audience for this article

This article is intended for Salesforce System Admins or the administrator role responsible for ensuring that installed integrations, such as GetAccept, continue to work smoothly.

Introduction

As of the Spring ’23 release, Salesforce has begun enforcing Enhanced Domains in most orgs. This change may require action on your part to ensure the GetAccept integration continues to work as expected.

In this article, you’ll learn:

  • What Enhanced Domains are

  • How they may affect the GetAccept integration

  • What steps to take if the integration is disrupted

What are Enhanced Domains?

Enhanced domains are the current version of My Domain that meet the latest browser and security requirements.

With Enhanced Domains:

  • All URLs in your org include your company-specific My Domain name.

  • This applies to Experience Cloud sites, Salesforce Sites, Visualforce pages, and content files.

  • Domain suffixes have changed to meet security standards.

  • URLs no longer depend on Salesforce instance names, making them easier to remember and more stable over time.

Enhanced Domains are enabled by default in new orgs and will be required in all orgs starting Winter ’24.

How is the GetAccept integration affected?

The GetAccept integration relies on a listener URL (configured during installation) to automatically send data back from GetAccept servers to Salesforce.

When Enhanced Domains are enabled, your existing listener URL may no longer be valid, potentially causing disruptions.

The new format for a valid listener URL is:

MyDomainName.my.salesforce-sites.com

If the listener URL is broken, you may experience:

  • Missing automatic status updates for documents sent from GetAccept

  • Chat functionality not working in the integration

  • Failure in automatic downloading of signed documents

How to fix listener issues

If you notice disruptions after Enhanced Domains are enabled, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Apps > GetAccept Admin > Setup.

  2. Click Edit to update the listener URL settings.

  3. Re-enter the email and password of your GetAccept Admin service user (the master account for all entities).

  4. Select the new valid listener URL from the dropdown list.

  5. Click Register.

  6. Go to the Entities tab. Disconnect and then reconnect each entity that should be connected to your Salesforce org.

Once done, test to confirm that:

  • Document status updates are automatic.

  • Signed documents are downloading correctly.
