  3. Viability: Does the company have enough experience and funding? Do they have strong references? Can they be acquired soon?

  4. Updates & Innovation: Can you keep using older versions if you need to? How fast are the update cycles? Do they embrace new technologies as they come available?

  5. Data Security:  Is data encrypted? Is there a bulletproof backup plan? Are they GDPR compliant?

  6. Service Level Agreement (SLA): Are there clear SLAs about service delivery, business terms, data assurance, and legal protection? Have you checked past performance?

  7. Exit Options: Can you export all your data in a standard format? Are there migration options available?

  8. Onboarding: Is there adequate end-user training and help during onboarding? Can you test the product with a small group of users? Is there a migration service?

  9. Pricing: Are there hidden charges? Are you spending money on features you don’t need? Are pricing plans/tiers and metrics clear?

  10. Flexibility: Can you easily change user permissions and access? Are they flexible in terms of software integration and long-term price protection?

  11. Environments: Does the product work properly on any browser and with older versions? Do they offer mobile apps and/or mobile browser support?
